Big Fish Inspiration
I was rummaging around my parents house this weekend and found a bunch of old children's books from my childhood and realized how much they inspired me as a child, and how they still inspire me to this day as a designer. I want to approach the Big Fish titles as if I'm making a storybook, because that's basically what the tale of the Big Fish is; a story your father used to tell you as a kid before you went to sleep.
I can't wait until this movie comes out.

Big Fish
So, I've changed my mind and I'm going with Big Fish. There are a couple student made titles for this movie, but they aren't totally amazing or anything.
Instead of using imagery from all the tall tales in the film, I'm going to focus on the story of the big fish told in the opening of the movie.

So, I'm thinking about making the titles for My Own Private Idaho. It's a great movie... and you can watch the whole thing on YouTube. River Phoenix is really amazing.
I want to use this song for it (it's not on the soundtrack or anything of course, because the music was made about 8 years after the film was, but I think it's a good fit):
The movie is about a guy who searches for love and belonging, but who always ends up back where he started. It's a long road home that never seems to end.

After Effects In Progress
So, here's what I have so far:
It's a lot of work, but I'm having a lot of fun with this. The audio is from Man on Wire. They're old recordings from 1974 (with the exception of Phillipe talking in the end).
